Once Bitten

So here’s the thing, it turns out that I miss writing. In fact I actually enjoy it far more than I imagined. I guess after a couple of years of writing you kind of turn into…. um… well a writer. The only problem with that is I have never fancied my self a writer. Never. I still don’t.

I heard a saying once that went something like “You are what you do.” If you fish, you are a fisherman; if you golf you are a golfer. I guess if you write you are a writer. But in my twisted mind a “writer” is someone who does more than the mere act of penning (typing) words to a page. Ernest Hemmingway is a writer, me not so much.

I will be damned if I haven’t been bitten by the writing bug though. My only problem is, what the hell am I going to write about? When I was playing WOW, life was easy. All I had to do was write about the idiots. I dubbed them FailPlayers but in all truth they were nothing more than idiots.

Now that I am playing SWOTR I really don’t have the drive to write about that game. Up to this point I have been able to shield myself from the idiots. Sure I bump into them in PVP but not on a scale where I feel the need to write about them.

Now I know I said that GTFOOTF was done and by its old definition it is. GTFOOTF will not longer be a “gaming” blog. With my urge to write and my never ending opinions on just about everything under the sun, GTFOOTF will be the space used by me to do just that. I am just going to write about whatever comes to mind. Nothing will be off topic and nothing will be sacred.

So if you are still out there buckle up because things are about to get bumpy.
