As you are well aware Rift patch 1.5 dropped and with it came Chronicles. I was really looking forward to this new “end game” experience and eagerly went through the updating process. I really liked the concept of Chronicles so the idea of solo/duo dungeons was intriguing. Before I get into what I experienced I will let Trion tell you about Chronicles.
Chronicles
Solo and duo dungeons
Chronicles are dungeons for one or two players. Experience Telara’s sweeping narrative in approachable, story-driven instances. Conquer endgame locations and live out world-changing adventures by yourself or with a friend.
Epic stories
The Chronicle of Attunement is a solo adventure available when you reach level 50, while the Chronicles in Greenscale’s Blight and Hammerknell will challenge two players, or truly test one (very) well-geared Ascended.
Your faction honors your 50th level by throwing you a celebration! Begin the journey of Planar Attunement and battle the servants of Regulos!

The Fallen Prince – Join legends from your faction like Shyla or the Faceless Man to take down Prince Hylas and Greenscale, Dragon of Life!
Hammerknell: Runes of Corruption
When the gates of Hammerknell finally opened, a small party vanished while investigating the horrors within. You must discover the fate of these scouts and of Hammerknell itself.
Okay – So after the updating process I jumped into the Chronicle of Attunement. The design is very linear and it is fairly easy to figure out what you are supposed to do. It is a celebration of your toon reaching level 50 and it also introduces you to the fight mechanics you will encounter in end game raiding.
With my attunement complete I paired up with Razor and we decided to take on the other two Chronicles. Both of our characters are T2 geared so we were able to complete BOTH Chronicle – Greenscale Blight and Chronicle – Hammerknell in less than an hour of playtime.
Overall the game play, graphics and story line are all what you would expect from Trion – Polished! BUT since we were able to basically walk through EVERYTHING in less tha an hour, meh I am not sure the Chronicles in Rift 1.5 will keep me glued to the game.
