I am sure more than one of you is confused by the current state of my posted and personal blogroll. Now that I spend the majority of my time writing about Rift, why am I still reading WoW related blogs? More importantly why are there no Rift related blogs linked there?
I think I should start by addressing the WoW blogs I removed from my personal and posted blogrolls in the past few months.
Pink Pigtail Inn: Larrisa shuttered the inn awhile back and when that took place, a bright light in a very dim wow blogosphere was extinguished.
The World of Matticus: They also got the boot but only because they are so very WoW centric. I am no longer in that world sooooo, it had to go.
Next to go was Tobold. I honestly stopped reading Tobold months ago because his writing took a very odd turn that I felt uncomfortable with. In fact I have often wondered if there wasn’t a personnel change there that we were not privy too. In recent months Tobold had taken a very bitter and aggressive tone that felt out of place. Bye Bye Tobold.
Graylo lasted the longest of the WoWcentric blogs because he was a solid resource for my beloved Boomkin spec. Even though his choice of faction is somewhat suspect, his information was always well studied and well presented.
So that leaves us with those still standing.
The Greedy Goblin: Gevlon was the inspiration for my own blogging effort. He continually surprises me with his take on the game and when he decides to kick up a fuss it is always entertaining. Gevlon stays for the foreseeable future.
MMO Melting pot is a newer blog that is MMOcentric but they are still heavily invested in WoW. I think that is due mostly to the fact that there are few Rift blogs out there and even fewer good Rift blogs. Rebecca and crew do a good job hence there presence on the list.
BBB – John makes me laugh. He also writes about nearly anything that pops into his head and he is not afraid to shy away from political correctness. He is a good read period.

Why that lack of Rift blogs? I haven’t found any that are consistent with content updates. Most of those that are consistent are only updating game news such as hotfixes and patch information. If you know of any solid Rift blogs shoot me a link would you? I would really like to have some available to read on a daily basis.

As soon as I saw “Blue” that was what I thought, then I clicked the link. As you know I’ve been very busy for a bit over a month, but this post made me smile. Just got moved into the new place and should have cable again next week, then I’ll be back to a normal posting schedule again. Hell, I might even pop in Rift and say hi.
If you do pop in, make sure to transfer to Alsbeth. Server transfers in 1.3 killed that shard so we had to make a move. Hope all is well on the home front.
